Victoria ISD is proud to announce the official ribbon cutting ceremony for the newly constructed Mission Valley Elementary, a state-of-the-art campus made possible through the support of Victoria voters and the successful passage of the 2021 Bond Proposition.
The event will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the new campus located at 12063 FM 236. The public is also invited to attend open house tours from 5 to 6:30 p.m. to experience firsthand the modern learning spaces and enhanced safety features designed to support student success.
The construction of Mission Valley Elementary was a priority project under the 2021 bond, approved by voters to address aging facilities and growing student needs. The completion of this project—delivered on time and under budget—is a testament to the dedication of the Bond Oversight Committee, whose members volunteered their time to meet monthly and provide essential guidance throughout the process.
“Mission Valley Elementary represents more than a new building—it’s a promise kept to our students and community,” said Randy Meyer, VISD Deputy Superintendent. “Thanks to our voters and the commitment of the Bond Oversight Committee, we now have a facility that reflects the excellence we strive for every day in Victoria ISD.”
