The Victoria ISD Maintenance Department will continue to repair buildings over the coming days, however, VISD currently has at least seven schools that need additional work in order to be operational to return to on-campus learning.
The following schools have been impacted by damage, causing potential disruption to on-campus learning next week:
- Aloe Elementary
- Mission Valley Elementary
- Smith Elementary
- Howell Middle School
- Patti Welder Middle School
- Stroman Middle School
- East High School
These campuses will receive an update on Monday, February 22 at 4 p.m. regarding their campus proceeding with remote or on-campus learning.
All other campuses will resume on-campus learning on Tuesday, February 23.
REMINDER: Tuesday, February 23 will be a two-hour delayed start.
Start Times & Bus Transportation
Tuesday start times:
- Elementary - 10 a.m. (Doors will open at 9:30 a.m.)
- Middle School - 10:30 a.m. (Doors will open at 10 a.m.)
- High School - 9:30 a.m. (Doors will open at 9 a.m.)
School buses will resume route pick-up and drop-off. Pick-up times will be adjusted for the 2-hour delay. For example, if your bus picks you up at 6:30 a.m., expect an approximate two-hour delay. School dismissal time will not be affected by the delayed start.
Students who are currently remote learners will resume school on Tuesday, February 23 with a two-hour delayed start. Secondary students will begin school in their third-period class.
